Jimmy was an extraordinary, God-fearing man who was loved by all who met him. Perhaps people are planning to walk-in, but I don't know that so I need to do everything I can to help it be a positive, healing experience for his family! While Jimmy was fighting for his life, he received 60 units of blood to help him, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his illness anyhow. But without that blood he wouldn't have had a fighting chance. His wife, Lee, and his family want to have this blood drive to honor Jimmy and to shine a spotlight on the importance of donors giving blood. 

The goal of the blood drive is to collect 35 units of blood per the request from the family. But currently, just 5 days out, we only have 19 on the schedule. To make the goal, we'll need at least 40-45 donors by the time we factor in deferrals (people who can't give that day due to low/high iron, low/high blood pressure, recent global travel, etc.) and no-shows from illness etc.
